T2 Design: A National Benchmark in Vehicle Wrap Innovation!

T2 Design, a leading force in vehicle graphics, lettering, signage, and eco-friendly large-format printing, has once again taken top honors—claiming first place in the national vehicle wrap design competition organized by SignMedia Canada.

Since taking over the family business in 2011, brothers Eric and Hans Turmel have been steering T2 Design to new heights, transforming it into a creative powerhouse and industry reference in Quebec. This latest win proves once again that T2’s exclusive, custom-designed projects are turning heads across Canada.

Canada-Wide Recognition for Bold Creativity!

Each year, SignMedia Canada highlights the country’s most innovative and visually striking wrap and signage projects. The competition is open to the best designers and installers across the nation, with over 300 entries submitted this year.

T2 Design entered several vehicle wraps that reflect the team’s diverse talents and unique artistic vision—and once again, they stood out from the crowd.

1st Place… Out of Over 300 Projects!   

“This award is a team victory,” says Hans Turmel proudly.

“It’s the result of close collaboration between our certified installation workshop and our graphic design studio. It brings us even closer as a team.” 

Award-Winning Project: Custom Snowmobiles

This year’s winning entry featured a striking duo of custom-designed Ski-Doo snowmobiles, created for two clients with bold, personalized visions. One design showcased red and blue tones along with a detailed Grim Reaper portrait. The other featured elements inspired by a personal tattoo.

Crafting these unique designs required more than 16 hours of detailed work, including the complete digital recreation of both 2014 and 2017 Ski-Doo Summit templates. For the 2017 model, no existing template existed; for the 2014 model, the template was entirely reworked to improve detail.

The result: a perfectly balanced visual layout with precise spacing—1/4 inch between over 177 individual wrap pieces!

Built to Last, Designed to Impress!

To ensure durability on snow and trails, T2 used ARLON’s ultra-tough DPF8000 adhesive vinyl, paired with 12mm #3590 laminate, ensuring the wraps not only looked amazing but stood up to the harshest conditions.

“Our clients loved their one-of-a-kind snowmobiles—and we were proud to bring their visions to life,” says Eric Turmel.

Calling All Bold Vehicle Projects!

Next up for the Turmel brothers: the international Wrap Like a King competition, hosted by Avery Dennison—a global challenge reserved for the industry’s most elite installers.

As the only wrap installer in the Suroît region to be triple-certified by 3M Canada, Avery Dennison, and Arlon, Hans Turmel is ready to take on the world stage.

“The competition is fierce internationally,” says Eric. “We’re looking for standout vehicles and bold creative freedom to push the envelope.”
