T2 Design dominated the competition, sweeping 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the Vehicle Lettering and Wrap category at the Quebec Sign Industry Association awards (AQIE).
Taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place — Vehicle Wrap Excellence!

Hans and Eric Turmel, co-owners of T2 Design—a company specializing in lettering, graphics, signage, and large-format eco-printing—are obsessed with innovation, allowing them to push boundaries and stand out. Without a doubt, T2 Design’s core strength lies in vehicle wraps.
They recently competed in the highly regarded AQIE Vehicle Wrap competition, which brings together many industry experts. This association recognizes innovative creations applied to commercial identification, corporate image promotion, and product and service marketing through visual communication. Here’s a look at the projects presented during the contest:
1st Place – Grand Caravan and R&D:
Always on the hunt for innovative ideas, T2 Design outdid themselves creatively with this Dodge Grand Caravan. For several years, the team has dedicated efforts to research and development on multiple products, and the results clearly shine through on this vehicle.

R&D: The mission was to deliver a carbon fiber finish that outshines the standard 3D options on the market. T2 Design crafted a stunning illusion using warm color tones that capture the way real carbon gleams under sunlight. This signature custom technique has proven to be a game-changer.

Pushing Boundaries: How T2 Design Revolutionizes Vehicle Wraps and Eco-Friendly Printing
At T2 Design, co-owners Hans and Eric Turmel don’t just follow trends—they set them. Obsessed with innovation, their expertise shines brightest in vehicle wraps, where creativity meets cutting-edge technology.
Take their award-winning Dodge Grand Caravan wrap: Hans and his team crafted a revolutionary carbon fiber finish that outperforms any 3D carbon look on the market. “We wanted to add real depth to the lettering,” explains Hans. By integrating laser-cut acrylic letters—typically used in 3D signage—onto the vehicle’s sides, they created a bold, exclusive effect that stops people in their tracks.
Their design strategy? A perfectly balanced graphic that uses the vehicle’s shape to its advantage. Splitting the design vertically creates a sleek illusion of lowered profile, while contrasting glossy carbon fiber with matte finishes ensures the visuals pop from every angle. Every inch of the wrap was meticulously crafted with files over 1GB in size, highlighting their commitment to precision and detail.
Green is More Than a Trend—It’s a Commitment
T2 Design leads the way in eco-responsible printing, using state-of-the-art latex printers with water-based inks free from harmful solvents. All ink cartridges and consumables are fully recyclable. Paired with PVC- and phthalate-free wrapping films, their work proves that high-impact visuals and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand. No wonder they earned the 2014 Green Shift Environment Award from the Beauharnois-Valleyfield-Haut-Saint-Laurent Chamber of Commerce.
Taking on Extreme Challenges: The Helicopter Project
2nd Place – Robinson R44 Raven II Helicopter:
Not afraid to tackle the tough jobs, T2 Design recently completed a complex customization on a Robinson R44 Raven II helicopter. Rejecting typical helicopter graphics, the client demanded a design that respected strict safety rules: minimal graphics on the tail to reduce weight, and no cutting allowed on the aircraft to maintain its structural integrity.
Hans, a double-certified expert with Avery Dennison and 3M, delivered a flawless job—showcasing T2 Design’s ability to handle projects where precision and safety are paramount.
With a passion for innovation and a dedication to quality and sustainability, T2 Design is not just wrapping vehicles—they’re wrapping the future.

“We proposed a graphic design created specifically for this client,” explains Hans. “It’s unique and perfectly tailored to the curves of the popular Robinson R44 model — we even digitized the helicopter’s distinctive contours.”
The installation was a true challenge: every effort focused on making sure the graphics would stay put. The team chose a bubble-free vinyl, and the custom dry installation was carefully done around all rivets, screws, and bolts! The graphic design by Eric Turmel definitely turns heads.
"The only thing that should fly is the helicopter – not the wrap!"
3rd Place – Fiat 500:
This project was all about themed vehicle personalization. The main guideline? Respect the Italian heritage of the iconic Fiat 500.

“For this aesthetic wrap design, we aimed for a vintage look with the classic two-tone white and red paint,” Eric Turmel details. “We also wanted to add a feminine, haute couture touch with an embossed effect — and why not throw in a crocodile pattern? Every time I see the car, I still think the final design looks amazing!”
The car wasn’t fully wrapped, allowing the pearl white original color to shine through. On each side, the pearl red vinyl was cut in the shape of Italy’s boot.
